A Hunters Paradise |
| In the Northwest corner of Alabama sit 1,300 acres of pristine woodland. At the center of it all is Deer Step Lodge, a deer and turkey hunters paradise. The lodge itself is a 4,000 square foot cabin, with walls constructed of tongue and groove pine and floors made of 100 year old resurfaced pine. There are five bedrooms and seven baths, with room for up to fifteen people. |
| When you're not hunting deer or turkey, the lodge holds a variety of entertainment. A game room with a championship size pool table, videos, an internet ready computer and a library are all part of the lodge, as is a gourmet kitchen. There's a five person sauna to help relax you after a day of deer hunting, or you can relax in the six person hot tub and enjoy the spectacular view. |

What about the deer hunting?
Our deer herd inside our 600 acre enclosure is monitored very closely with a yearly camera census and extensive scouting. Thorough management and highly nutritious year round food allows us to grow some real trophies. Our buck to doe ratio is 1:1 for some of the best rut action you can imagine. Inferior bucks and doe's are harvested every season to keep our herd as healthy as possible, and your hunt more exciting. |

| If you like turkey hunting, we have the birds. Our Eastern Turkey population is incredible and we have some of the heaviest turkey's in the country. In the spring of the 2006 season a Deer Step Hunter took the new Alabama state record for heaviest Eastern Turkey at 25.6 lbs. We can even provide guns and ammo for your hunt if needed. |
